🌌🎨 Kicking Off the Week: From Cosmic Concerts to Colorful Murals

Hey FoCo,
Fort Collins is starting the week with a double dose of inspiration. First up, CSU hosts WAVES: Listening to the Cosmos—a world premiere concert where science meets sound through real gravitational wave data. Then, the Fort Collins Mural Project splashes into its 10th year, bringing 13 fresh murals and community events that celebrate art, connection, and color all across town.
Let’s dive in!

🌲Fort Collins Trivia

🎨✨ Starting the Week with Art, Science, and Community
Fort Collins is serving up a double treat to kick off this week — one that blends cosmic wonder with creative color splashed across our city walls.
On Monday, September 8, head over to CSU’s Griffin Concert Hall at 7:30 p.m. for the world premiere of WAVES: Listening to the Cosmos. Composer Benjamin Skepper takes real gravitational wave data (yes, straight from the universe!) and turns it into an immersive concert experience. It’s free, open to all, and a chance to hear the sounds of the cosmos in a way you’ve never imagined.
And if that wasn’t enough, the Fort Collins Mural Project is in full swing all week long (Sept. 6–13). This year marks 10 years and a major milestone — 100 murals painted across the city. Fourteen artists are out transforming blank walls into bold, meaningful art. Expect live mural painting, bike tours, artist talks, and community events, all with a special focus on art and mental health in partnership with the Alliance for Suicide Prevention of Larimer County.
Together, these events remind us what makes Fort Collins shine: creativity, collaboration, and community. Whether you’re looking up at the stars or admiring fresh paint on our city walls, this week is a celebration of imagination in every form.
